Lori and Alison and Lila, my oldest and most loyal customers, and I had the river to ourselves after the heavy rain in the morning. And the ospreys all aflutter and two little gators in Vaux Creek and. pickerel weed and sundrops and the duckweed blooming its little white flowers. Late summer is a vibe, the tide is just beginning to ebb for the tourist seasons, and its people and trips like these that keep me afloat and feeling blessed.
